About this item [CHARACTERISTICS]- The photo is just a reference. These are the characteristics of the plant: leaf length: 20cm, leaf width: 12cm, plant height: 25cm, leaves per plant 2 or 3. [UNIQUE TWO COLOR LEAVES]- Each leaf of the Alocasia live plant is its own work of art, there are no two alike, no wonder so many artists use nature as their subjects. Lovely detailing in cream, white and green. Nothing says summer like an elephant ear plant and the Ele Paio is no exception. IMPORTANT: Due to the type of plant, which is very succulent, it is not good at traveling and is stressed by sudden changes in temperature and humidity. However, after a couple of weeks it recovers and shows itself again in all its splendor. [EASY TO PLANT]- When you receive your new Alocasia live plant, there is no need to worry about planting right away. Your new house plant can be stored for a while by simply placing it in a bucket with about a half inch of water in the bottom and moving it to a shady location. You can then add some mulch to keep your plant standing upright. The mulch will also supply nutrients while in storage. This will give you plenty of time to select the ideal location for your new Alocasia. [GROW AREA & LIGHTING]- Best outdoors! This Alocasia exotic house plants require 70-85% sunlight. Depending on your location filtered sun is best. In the northern end of their grow zone, Macrorrhiza Variegata house plants should be brought indoors or protected during the winter months. The patio zone is 4b-11 which means the potted plant will flourish over the summer months in colder zones but must be brought inside before frost. [FERTILIZER TIP]- To help establish your new Macrorrhiza Variegata Alocasia live house plants, fertilize sparingly at least 6 inches away from the base, tri-annually with a slow time-released product.
