Founded by Farrah Sit, Light + Ladder is a ceramics company in Brooklyn, NY, and is based around Sit's motto "Own less, own well." The products are functional objects inspired by the stillness of nature, as well as a minimalism in design. The ceramic objects are handcrafted in Vermont at a studio that follows sustainable practices. The energy supply is 100% carbon-free. For larger objects, these are fabricated in Portugal in a female-owned factory. Sit chose this factory because the craftspeople share her values of family and community, as well as a commitment to sustainability.
