I am just getting started with tattooing, as in brand new! I didn’t know that there was such a thing as fake skin for the purposes of tattooing until just very recently. So I did some research and have decided to try a few different types. It's double-sided, just be sure to adjust your needle or it will bleed through to the other side. I don’t know that I will ever get up to a level where I ever work on real people with tattooing, so having good artificial skin will be key for me.This is very flexible, I could see hypothetically laying and taping this onto someone to practice working on different body parts, in different positions, and so on. I am not even close to ready for that yet. It is very flexible without feeling like it will tear if you want to give that a try.It's actually dual-sided, as well, but it is clearly thinner than this skin with both sides being able to be tattooed, however, in ink-heavy areas it does seem to be a visable shadow when looking through. I feel like this is a disservice to people as too thin and you are used to whatever hard surface you have it on. It feels like more of an arts and craft project than a learning tool unless I were to actually place this over a body part. (I am not entirely confident enough in my own skills and setting management to even think about trying that). I thought the color of this was a bit odd, It is very much not a skin tone one. However, I have seen others that are very much not skin tone as well, which may be good for practice. This isn’t good for color matching with inks when you are practicing blending. I also have to agree with a reviewer who said that having only light skin tones is a severe disservice to people who are practicing their tattoo skills, as it isn’t only those with light skin tones that get tattoos.
